HTTP and FTP Monitors
Simple Server Monitor provides HTTP and FTP monitors.
HTTP Monitors - Users must specify the URL query string. If the query string is left blank, the default page is used. The HTTP monitor supports head, get, and post requests. If a post request is selected, the user must specify the post variables in the query string. Users can set whether the monitor uses SSL by clicking the "Use HTTPS?" box. It also supports non-standard ports. The monitor will connect to the HTTP server send its request, wait for a response, and then disconnect.
FTP Monitors - The FTP monitor can make passive or active connections, supports SSL/TLS, and can connect on non-standard ports. This monitor also supports anonymous logins. The monitor will connect to the FTP server, login, and then disconnect.
