SMTP, POP3, and IMAP Monitors

 

Simple Server Monitor supports three types of e-mail monitors, SMTP, POP3, and IMAP.

SMTP Monitors - The SMTP monitor supports connecting over SSL/TLS and supports SMTP authentication.  The monitor will connect to the SMTP server, authenticate (if required), optionally send a test message, and then disconnect.

POP & IMAP Monitors - The POP and IMAP monitors support connecting over SSL/TLS and using non-standard ports.  These monitors connect to the server, login in, and then disconnect.
