Most cell phone providers provide email2SMS gateways. If your cell phone provider provides an e-mail to SMS gateway, you can simply set Simple Server Monitor to send an email to the address your provider gives you. Usually it is in the form of your phone number @ your provider. For example, the ATT PCS gateway would be 10DigitPhoneNumber@mobile.att.net.

For greater flexibility, Simple Server Monitor can integrate with Notepage Software's NotePage Pro. NotePage Pro is an inexpensive, standalone SMS text message software package that can be set up to send SMS text messages through any provider. Changes:
1) The SSM console now attempts to connect to the SSM service for three minutes before reporting an error. This addresses the problem where the SSM console loads prior to the SSM service at start-up.

2) E-mail alerts are now queued when there is a problem sending them. SSM will attempt to resend them every 15 seconds. This addresses the problem where alert messages where not being sent do to temporary problems with user's SMTP server.

We've re-written the monitoring engine to increase performance and reduce resource usage.
