collapsible groups

There is a topic that touches on server groups. But to have groups that you can collapse would be benificail to me since I will have more than 15 VPS's and multiple computers in those VPN locations that I will need to pay close attension to. I need to not only watch the the WAN but the Lan through the VPN. I don't see any mention of VPN's working with this but I've tried it and it works very well, just as long as you are in the VPN. I'm also running this through NITIX a linux kernal server.

Thanks for such an easy to use product by the way.

Hello Jeff,

For the 3.0 release we're revamping the GUI and grouping will be one of the improvements. There is no time frame set for the 3.0 release (2.0.2 will be out in a month, followed by 2.5).

Your welcome! Another sort of server that I run is 2 DODS, 1 F.E.A.R. and 1 HL Servers. Video Surviellance (DVR) servers that I monitor to make sure they stay up and connected. This is another benefit of owning SSM! What a product!!!
Another idea! If SSM could be made to show on the web in a iframe or integrated flash. One would only need to log into a hidden secure page to view the servers.

Thanks for answering the question and 3.0 sounds like it's gonna be fantastic.

3.0 will be built using WCF to allow remote access to the monitoring service. This will allow anything that can consume SOAP web services to display the status of servers and monitors. Users could use Java, .NET, Flash, WPF/E, Google widgets, Live/Vista Widgets, etc to write their own clients.

Beta 3.0 if you need beta testers let me know.

Seems to be something odd going on with the column sorting. If I sort by Any of the columns besides the "Enabled" column the order jumps around as the servers are scanned.

Also would be nice to be able to change the order of the servers listed in the servers list. (Without using the column sorting) For example I add a new server but I want it to appear near the top of the list instead of the bottom.
